Albion’s scholars saw their recent unbeaten run come to an end against Leicester City on Saturday afternoon.

Three first-half goals inflicted most of the damage on Leigh Downing’s U18s, with Jake Evans’ double and Laolu Omobolaji’s effort putting the Foxes three goals to the good at the halfway mark.

Kirsten Otchere rounded off the scoring on 67 minutes and kept the Baggies’ academy charges at bay to add a clean sheet to their victory.

The club’s scholars are next in action on Saturday, March 16 when they host Aston Villa at the West Bromwich Albion Training Ground.

Albion: Cisse, Kirton, Sumnall, Morrish (Sears 76), Humphries, Beedie (Cherchi 66), Deeming, Chimeziri, Onyemachi, Kone (Maughan 76), Walker (Parmar 76).

Subs not used: Wiilkes (GK).
