U18 Premier League | Crystal Palace 1-1 Albion

Alex Williams in action for Albion's PL2 side

Albion's scholars extended their unbeaten run to four matches in the U18 Premier League south after leaving the capital with a share of the spoils from Saturday afternoon's meeting with Crystal Palace.

It was a great start by Leigh Downing's team, with Cheik Kone firing in his second goal in three matches to break the deadlock and find the opener for the Baggies after 24 minutes.

But the concession of a penalty six minutes later restored parity and gave the hosts a way back into proceedings when Zach Marsh converted from the spot to bring the Eagles back into the clash.

Despite plenty of endeavour after the break, neither team could find a decisive goal to ensure the points were shared at Palace's Training Ground.

Downing's young stars play their final game of the season next time out when they host Fulham on Saturday, May 6, at the club's Walsall training base.

Albion: Cisse; Nelson, Mohammed, Sumnall, Williams; N.Phillips, Deeming; Kirton (Walker 46), Bostock, Trialist (Sears 90+4); Kone (Sule 60).

Substitutes: Brady (gk).
