Ryan Mason says he’s focused on finding solutions after Albion were edged out 1-0 by Ipswich Town on Saturday afternoon.
Jack Clarke’s 83rd-minute strike condemned the Baggies to their second straight away defeat in a week, following another narrow loss at Watford on Wednesday.
And the boss insists his team won’t “accept” the manner of recent displays, explaining his desire to help them improve and become more “effective” in the final third.
He said: “I don’t think we did enough to win the game but when you come away from home, you have to stick together.
“As a whole, we did that, we grew into the game and we had control in the second half. But we lacked that bit of belief and creativity in the final third to go on and win the game.
“To concede at the time and in the nature that we did was extremely disappointing.
“We had a phase in the second half where you could feel the energy in the stadium turn. We had a lot of the ball, but didn’t create enough and I believe, deep down, that we could’ve gone and won that game.
“You always need creativity and individual brilliance in the final third and we had bits of those in the last couple of games.
“It’s something we need to keep working on, to evolve the players and get more out of that area of the pitch to be more effective.
“We’ve lost a couple of matches in quick succession and we don’t want to accept it. Our fans have travelled a long distance and we need to improve as quickly as possible.
“It’s been a tough couple of weeks and learning from them is the challenge for us.
“I know the supporters aren’t happy, we aren’t happy, and that’s normal.
“You can feel that inside the changing room and it’s something we want to address.
“When I came in, I understood the away form wasn’t great. We had a couple of good early results which we’d hoped for to feel belief in the group.
“But losing our last three away games isn’t good enough and we have to find a way to be better.”
