Kareem Tunde expressed his desire to showcase his “explosive pace and power” in an Albion shirt following his move from La Liga outfit Levante UD.
The 21-year-old winger penned a four-year deal on Thursday having watched his new club go toe-to-toe with Premier League Newcastle United from the stands at St. James' Park on Wednesday night.
Tunde, who made 22 appearances in the top flight of Spanish football in 2025/26, says he’s incredibly excited by the prospect of “growing” as both a “player and a man” at West Bromwich Albion, and spoke of his determination to show the club’s supporters exactly what he’s capable of as quickly as possible when speaking to WBA TV for the first time.
The new Baggie said: “As soon as I heard the club were interested in signing me I was very excited and very interested. This is a very big football club and I feel very happy to be here.
“I watched the team play at Newcastle on Wednesday night in the cup. I was there in the stadium and I really liked how the team played, especially against a Premier League side. It was really good to see.
“This move is a chance for me to experience football and life in a new country and that is something that I'm really looking forward to. I am excited by the challenge of playing in England for the first time having only ever played in Spain.
“I am a player who has a lot of power and pace. I’m explosive, direct and I have quick feet. I want to excite the fans and help make things happen for my team. I will work hard and I will try to score as many goals and create as many goals as possible.
“From what I have seen, the football here in England is more direct, physical and quicker than football in Spain. It will be different, but I am excited to experience that and I am confident I can show my best level here.
“I met with the manager and he told me that he is very happy that I am here at the club. He also said that he wants me to express myself, play my game and play with confidence.
“I know the group is in a really positive place right now and everyone has been really friendly to me since I arrived. The environment is very good and everyone is happy right now. I hope that continues for a very long time. It seems like a fantastic group to become a part of.
“I want to help the team by providing assists and scoring goals, and I can't wait to get started and play in front of our fans.
“I also want to take in every experience of playing English football, grow and develop as a player and as a man and show everyone my best attributes.”
