Exciting young winger Kareem Tunde makes the move to England ready to show the Sky Bet Championship what he’s made of.
The 21-year-old, who celebrated his birthday last week, already has 22 La Liga appearances to his name having featured regularly for Levante UD in Spain’s top tier over the past few months.
Born in Barcelona, Tunde played for a host of local teams in his youth, starting at UE Sant Andreu before being picked up by RCD Espanyol in 2014. After three years, one of the biggest clubs in the world came calling, and an 11-year-old Kareem joined La Masia to play for Barca.
Throughout the next few years, Tunde honed his game in one of the most famous settings in world football. However, his journey there came to an end when he was 14 and he moved to another Barcelona-based academy, CF Damm Youth - the same branch to have nurtured the talents of future Spain internationals Gerard Moreno, Victor Muñoz and Joan García.
Two more years followed before he relocated further down Spain’s east coast to the city of Valencia. This is where he signed his scholarship with Levante UD, joining their under-19s side shortly before his 17th birthday.
The foundations for Kareem’s career were laid during his early years with Los Granotas, and he made his maiden appearances for their reserve side, Atlético Levante UD, in 2024.
However, the 2025/26 campaign proved to be the forward’s breakthrough season. He featured 12 times for Levante II before making the step up to the first team in December 2025.
Kareem was a regular starter in Spain’s top flight by the New Year, and made 21 La Liga bows, assisting once that term.
His arrival in the first team, along with current boss Luís Castro, brought with it a huge upturn in form to save Los Granotas from a situation of almost inevitable relegation to the second tier. Before Castro arrived at the beginning of December, Levante were bottom of the La Liga table and had just nine points to their name.
Though a late surge in form across 2026, which included wins over RCD Mallorca, Celta de Vigo, CA Osasuna, Getafe, Real Oviedo, Deportivo Alaves and the league double over Sevilla - ensured Castro's men, and the young winger - guaranteed another La Liga campaign for supporters at Estadio Ciudad de Valencia.
Tunde also started in defeats to Real Madrid and hometown club Barcelona, where he came up against some of the world's best players, including Lamine Yamal, Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe. His first assist for the club came in the vital victory over Oviedo in March.
Already clearly going from strength to strength, Kareem makes the switch to Albion proud of what he’s already achieved in Spain. Now, the left-footed right winger will be ready to kick on and prove he’s got what it takes to be one of the most exciting forwards in England’s second tier.
