Late goals from substitute Torin Ntege and Souleyman Mandey helped the young Baggies come from behind to beat Reading on Friday night.
The Royals were 1-0 up at the break, but efforts from the forward and midfielder respectively fired Leigh Downing's men to a welcome win at Solihull Moors' Damson Park.
Albion first-team attacker Tammer Bany got another 45 minutes of action under his belt having also completed the first period against Exeter City in the Premier League Cup the previous week.
The Royals started brightly and Baggies stopper Louis Brady had to make two crucial saves from Sean Patton efforts in the early stages.
At the other end Matthew Crowther's long-range strike sailed over the top of the crossbar, while Bany's shot from the edge of the box went narrowly wide after the senior star had won the ball high up the pitch.
Miller McDonald was next to try his luck, bursting into the box after sprinting down the left flank and unleashing a drive towards goal. Sadly, his attempt was pushed away by Reading's goalkeeper Harrison Rhone.
Despite Albion's pressure, it was the visitors who opened the scoring right on the stroke of half time. Tyler Sackey met Kiyan Slevin cutback and placed the ball into the far corner away from Brady.
Downing's group piled on the pressure after the interval and were intent on turning the scoreline on its head.
Deago Nelson found himself time and space in the box after McDonald's cross from the left had drifted through the penalty area. The right-back's well-struck effort was on target, but, unfortunately for the hosts, a Reading defender blocked the ball on the line.
Mandey was next to have a shot cleared off the line. The midfielder won the ball in the attacking third, pushed it round the keeper and tried to roll it into the net, only for Jacob Borgnis to slide across and clear in the nick of time.
But the equaliser did finally arrive with just 13 minutes left on the clock. Ntege carried the ball into the box and directed the ball into the far corner, squeezing it beyond the reach of Rhone down low.
And the winner followed three minutes later. Ntege turned provider, crossing along the turf for Mandey to side-foot home a first-time strike from ten yards.
ALBION: Brady, Nelson, Diomande, DuPont, Humphries, Letlat, Crowther, Mandey (Mohammed 90), McDonald (Iddrisa 72), Bany (Bray HT), Ranger (Ntege 62).
