Loan round-up: Griffiths & Azaz crowned Cheltenham champions

Griffiths Trophy

Baggies youngsters Josh Griffiths and Finn Azaz were crowned champions of Sky Bet League Two on Saturday.

The duo both featured as Cheltenham romped to a 4-1 home win over Harrogate Town, a result which secured the title following last week’s promotion to the third tier.

Griffiths completed the whole game while Azaz came on for the final seven minutes.

In Sky Bet League One, Alex Palmer and Callum Morton’s final game before the play-offs with Lincoln ended in goalless draw at home to AFC Wimbledon.

Palmer played the full 90 and kept his 19th clean sheet of the campaign, while forward Morton was introduced to action with 14 minutes remaining.

The Baggies pair will now look forward to a two-legged encounter with Sunderland. The winners of that semi-final will come up against either Blackpool or Oxford United in the final at Wembley.

And finally in the Sky Bet Championship, Rekeem Harper played 76 minutes of Birmingham City’s 5-2 defeat at Blackburn, while Charlie Austin scored for QPR in their 3-1 final day victory over Luton. Sam Field was a second-half substitute in west London.
