Foundation Day takes centre stage in Saturday's Albion News

Stoke programme

This weekend’s Albion News is dedicated to the club’s all-conquering powerchair team ahead of Foundation Day on Saturday.

The Stoke City edition encapsulates the history, progression and success which the Baggies powerchair squad has enjoyed since its inception.

Albion’s official charity, the Albion Foundation, will be using Saturday’s game as their showpiece event to help raise funds to “Power the Powerchairs”, and the stars of the show tell us their story across 12 pages in this issue as we appreciate and celebrate their progression in the sport.

Foundation Day will also be a part of the first ever Week of Action by the English Football League (EFL). Using the power of football, EFL clubs and Club Community Organisations (CCOs) collectively invest in their communities every year, engaging with some of the most vulnerable members of society.

First-team matters stay the same and if you haven't had chance to see it yet, Wednesday’s goalscorer Andy Carroll chats about bagging his second for the club against Bournemouth, with his celebration snap featuring as Saturday's centre poster.

Steve Bruce and Jake Livermore share their delight and frustration after bouncing back from their defeat in the West Midlands derby prior to their Cherries triumph, and our academy section previews this Sunday's Premier League Cup quarter-final at Derby County.

Richard Beale’s men topped their group before defeating Queens Park Rangers in the Round of 16 to reach the last eight of the competition, and we look into their recent form, the cup run so far and some the key men who could decide the tie for the young Baggies.
