Carlos Corberán's home debut covers Saturday's Albion News

Sheffield United edition of Albion News

New Baggies Head Coach Carlos Corberán will don the cover of Saturday's edition of Albion News, ahead of the new boss's first game in charge.

The Hawthorns will host high-flyers Sheffield United during Saturday's early kick-off, and the recently-appointed Spaniard reveals his excitement for a new "era" in B71 under his lead.

Similarly, the Albion boss promises high "intensity, concentration and passion" during the week and on match days in this weekend's programme notes along with skipper Jake Livermore, who is eager to "turn things around" in front of the home faithful.

Insight doesn't stop there, with experienced defender Martin Kelly starring in the 'Talk us Through' player feature.

The former Liverpool academy graduate chats in length about several interesting topics; his love for the FA Cup, Jamie Carragher's influence and the trust which the hierarchy at Anfield showed in giving him a chance after suffering a double stress fracture injury to his back during his scholarship days.

But most importantly, his Albion focus sees the centre-half thank the club for an important opportunity at this stage of his career, and Kelly is confident - under new boss Corberán - that the Baggies have a squad "capable" of putting together positive results before the next international break.

Lastly, as always, our academy Q&A features one of the club's Under-18s stars, with confident attacking-midfielder Fenton Heard the next up to answer a range of social questions and chat about the moments which have shaped his career up until now.

Programmes will be available at all the usual stalls in and around The Hawthorns on Saturday afternoon. They can also be purchased from the Stadium Megastore, which is located outside the East Stand.

Alternatively, you can buy a copy online, or have each edition of the 2022/23 season delivered to your door for matchday by purchasing a subscription here.
