It was a successful weekend for young duo Harry Whitwell and Michael Parker as they helped both of their respective loan teams to victory.

Oxford-born Whitwell went head-to-head with former Baggies academy graduate Jamie Andrews at Woking, but it was the current Albion youngster who came out on top as he started in Forest Green Rovers' 2-0 away triumph.

Harry played the full 90 minutes once again and helped Robbie Savage's men maintain their unbeaten start to the National League season, with goals from Jayden Clarke and Tom Knowles either side of the interval proving enough for Whitwell's group to bag three important away points.

The result meant the Gloucestershire outfit rose to the top of the fifth-tier standings, stretching their undefeated league run to 10 matches.

Michael Parker preserved his place in Hereford's starting XI for their home clash with Worksop Town on Saturday - an encounter they ran out victorious in, winning 2-1.

It was a fourth consecutive 90 minutes for the imposing defender in the Bulls defence, and although he couldn't ensure a clean sheet for his side, the 20-year-old played his part in seeing out the victory which Omari Sterling-James and Andy Williams ultimately gave them following their goalscoring contributions.

Those three points lifted boss Paul Caddis' team up to 14th place in the NL North table, as Albion youngster Parker nears the end of the one-month loan in Herefordshire.

Finally, Akeel Higgins was unavailable for Sky Bet League One side Exeter City's match against Stevenage on Saturday afternoon, a game which they lost 2-1 on the road.

Higgins' last involvement for the Grecians was his debut off the bench at Rotherham United on September 6.
