Albion’s Under-18s made it back-to-back victories with an emphatic performance against Arsenal on Saturday afternoon.

The young Baggies made their first-half pressure count as goals from Mo Faal and Rico Richards put them in a strong position at half time.

Substitute Jacob Shepherd scored to make an instant impact off the bench and wrap up the points in the final 10 minutes, as Albion continued their ascent up the U18 Premier League table.

Tom Fellows had been in fine goal-scoring form prior to the Baggies’ clash with the Gunners, but the young attacker proved to be the creative spark in Saturday’s triumph.

Fellows set up all three goals as leading scorer Faal added to his season tally, before Richards put breathing space between Peter Gilbert’s side and their London counterparts before the interval.

Shepherd had only played four minutes when he netted a third, as Fellows turned provider once again to help the Baggies see out an important victory.

The win means Albion move up to eighth-place in the U18 Premier League table, and their recent fine form also means they’ve lost just once in their last five matches.
