Albion's Under-18s suffered a heavy defeat against Southampton on Saturday afternoon at the club's training ground.
Saints stormed into a 4-0 lead at the break, courtesy of braces from Kamari Doyle and Dominic Ballard.
The latter completed his hat-trick 22 minutes into the second half to make it 5-0, taking the game out of Peter Gilbert's side's hands.
Midfielder Mackenzie Lamb netted a consolation less than 15 minutes from time, but it didn't affect the final result as the young Baggies fell to their fifth defeat of the U18 Premier League campaign.
But Albion's youngsters will have the chance to show their powers of recovery when they travel to Norwich on Saturday, October 30 (ko 11am).
