Albion’s Under-18s were edged out by high-flying Brighton at the Birmingham County FA on Saturday afternoon.

Todd Miller converted just under 10 minutes into the contest, before substitute Matthew Everitt made sure of the points shortly after the interval.

Defeat against the Seagulls means Peter Gilbert’s side are without a win in their last three U18 Premier League matches.

But focus will quickly turn to Albion’s FA Youth Cup conquest, as they look to progress to the fifth round of the competition when they host Cardiff City at The Hawthorns on Wednesday, March 31 (ko 7pm).

Albion: Boruc; Hall, Taylor, Grant, Shaw; Fellows, Teixeira, Ashworth, Shepherd (Andrews 63); Cleary (Hoard (46); Faal.

Substitutes: Emery, Dwyer, N’Goma.
