Ryan Mason was the first guest of the new season on the Albion post-match chat show.

The new Baggies head coach joined WBA Radio and WBA TV commentary duo Andy Johnson and Gez Mulholland to discuss a number of the key talking points from Saturday's victory over Blackburn Rovers in the Sky Bet Championship.

The boss spoke of his "immense pride" at leading Albion, the support he had in the stands from his family, the performances in both halves, the determined defending on display from his players and much more.

Ryan said: "The target was to get three points and we've worked all week to achieve that.

"To get over the line with the win, and in the nature we did it too, is very pleasing.

"We've still got a long way to go but we had some really nice moments. I thought we deserved to win the game. We had chances to go further ahead but, unfortunately, we didn't capitalise on that.

"I think the most pleasing things are how we fought for each other, put bodies on the line and showed a real resilience to keep a clean sheet which is what you need to do, in any league, to be successful."
