Albion Under-21s captain Evan Humphries has joined Enterprise National League North outfit Oxford City on a short-term loan deal.
After signing for the Baggies aged nine, Humphries has progressed through the club’s youth ranks and developed his leadership credentials in recent seasons - skippering both the U18 and U21 sides.
The left-back, who can also operate at centre-half, has made 24 appearances for Leigh Downing’s youngsters this term across various competitions - challenging himself against European outfits such as Juventus and Valencia in the Premier League International Cup, to coping with the physical demands of non-league teams in the NL Cup.
And the latter will have prepared the 20-year-old well for his maiden loan spell away from The Hawthorns, as Humphries joins the Hoops - currently 20th in the NL North table - until February 17.
Best of luck, Evan!
