West Bromwich Albion are proud to announce a new multi-year partnership with DPD – bringing together two of the Black Country’s most recognisable names.
The UK’s leader in parcel delivery has been named the club’s Official Delivery Partner and Back of Shirt Partner, with its logo featuring on the match jerseys of Albion men and women, as well as its academy teams.
Founded in Smethwick in 1970 and making its name delivering vinyl to Britain’s high street record shops, DPD has grown to become a globally recognised brand.
With DPD’s UK headquarters located less than a mile from The Hawthorns, this announcement sees the club’s long-time neighbours become partners for the very first time.
Sam Jeffery, Chief Business Officer of West Bromwich Albion, said: “DPD is one of the UK's leading brands and a business with genuine Black Country roots, so there was a natural fit from the very beginning.
“We both have a shared ambition to do things the right way and, from our very first conversation, it was clear how much affection for this club exists across their organisation.
“We are delighted to welcome them onto the shirt, and we see real scope for this relationship to grow over the coming years.”
Justin Pegg, CEO of DPD, added: “The Hawthorns is on our doorstep, so carrying the DPD name on the back of the Albion shirt means a great deal to our people, many of whom are lifelong Baggies.
“For us, this partnership is about delivering what matters: to our people, to supporters and to the community we share. We can’t wait to get started.”
Supporters will begin to see DPD’s presence at The Hawthorns from the start of the new season, and more detail on the partnership, including community programmes delivered with The Albion Foundation, will be shared in due course.
