Albion’s U18 side drew 1-1 at home to Ipswich Town on Saturday in their second Premier League Cup group match.
The Baggies started brightly and had chances to take the lead through Archie Kirton and Layton Love.
But Leigh Downing’s team did manage to get themselves in front before the half-time whistle when Sam Oluwatobi confidently converted an opportunity from inside the penalty area.
However, the visitors hit back in the second period and equalised from the penalty spot.
Albion’s youngsters pushed for a winner and almost secured a second consecutive victory in the competition, but Akeel Higgins was unable to finish off a decent chance and the shares were spoiled.
