Richard Beale | We’re after another positive PL2 away result

Albion’s PL2 side will be hoping to build on their solid away form when they make the long trip north to Newcastle on Monday afternoon (ko 3pm).

The youngsters delivered a spirited showing at Nottingham Forest last week, earning a hard-fought 0-0 draw against a Forest side which had won nine of their previous 10 league games.

It was a result which extended Richard Beale’s side’s unbeaten run away from home in Premier League 2 Division 2 to six matches, form which has kept them in play-off contention.

And the boss is excited to see how his players perform in their latest PL2 test at the Newcastle United Football Academy.

Albion produced a decent performance at Forest last week

Beale said: "We've got another really difficult match coming up on Monday against a strong Newcastle side.

"It'll be a challenge for the lads, but they've certainly proved numerous times this season that they are willing to stand up to these challenges.

"Last week at Forest was another example of that. I think they had won nine of their last ten league games and we went there and gave them a good game on a night where both defences came out on top.

"We had a couple of trialists in our team and we had to make a couple of early substitutions, but we handled the game really, really well and took a deserved point away with us.

"I want to see the same desire and application this week up at Newcastle. If the boys deliver another performance like the one at Forest, then I think we've got a chance of picking up another positive result away from home.

"We're unbeaten in six on the road in the league and we're determined to keep that run going for as long as possible."
