Young goalkeepers Alex Palmer and Josh Griffiths both kept clean sheets for their loan clubs in the EFL over the weekend.

Palmer completed 90 minutes for Lincoln as they were held to a goalless draw away at ten-man Accrington Stanley in Sky Bet League One.

The result leaves Palmer’s side in sixth position – four points off top spot.

In Sky Bet League Two, Griffiths picked up his seventh clean sheet of the campaign as Cheltenham Town won 3-0 at home to Walsall.

Midfielder Finn Azaz returned to the matchday squad after missing recent games with an ankle injury.

The Robins are second in the league, three points behind leaders Newport County.

Elsewhere in League Two, Owen Windsor played 62 minutes of Grimsby’s 5-0 defeat at Tranmere. The young forward was replaced by Sean Scannell as Town fell to heavy defeat at Prenton Park.

In the National League, defender Saul Shotton played the full game as Woking earned an impressive 4-1 home win against Barnet.
