Loan review: Defeats for defenders & clean sheet for Cann

Three Albion youngsters earned valuable senior minutes away from The Hawthorns over the weekend.

Goalkeeper Ted Cann kept his second clean sheet in three games for Yeovil Town on Saturday as they beat Southend United 2-0 at home.

Cann’s Glovers record now reads played three, won three, conceded one after their latest Vanarama National League triumph. 

Former Albion man Reuben Reid opened the scoring before Tom Knowles added a second, with both strikes coming inside the first nine minutes.

In the Vanarama National League South, Irish defender Zak Delaney completed 90 minutes for Bath City who suffered a 2-0 loss at Eastbourne Borough. Charley Kendall and Jayden Perez were on target for the home side.

And finally, 20-year-old Kevin Joshua also played the whole game for Irish First Division side Waterford FC as they lost 2-1 at Treaty United on Friday night.

Matt Keane and Enda Curran struck for the hosts before Anthony Wordsworth grabbed a late consolation for Joshua’s men.
