Albion youngster Harry Whitwell has penned a new two-year deal with the club.
Having signed an extension during the summer last season, a beneficial 2024/25 campaign has earned the academy graduate an improved contract until June 2027.
The Oxford-born 19-year-old recorded 14 goal contributions for the Baggies’ PL2 team (nine goals, five assists) last term, before rounding off a positive year in navy-blue-and-white by making his Sky Bet Championship debut against Luton Town on the final day.
Harry joined the club’s youth system aged 11 and has regularly impressed during his rise through the ranks; playing consistently in the Under-21s at 16-years-old, representing England U18s, and scooping the prestigious Academy Player of the Year Award in the 2022/23 campaign.
A similar impact was made on his senior breakthrough in January 2024, providing an assist during the Emirates FA Cup clash with Aldershot Town prior to a maiden first-team start in the Carabao Cup against Fleetwood Town last term.
With three professional appearances to his name, Whitwell is determined to continue his development and build on the faith placed in him by the Baggies after penning a new contract.

He said: “I’m really happy to have the confidence shown in me by the club to give me another two years.
“This will allow me now to have the security to push on at Albion this season and try and get first-team football, whether be here or on loan somewhere.
“I was over the moon with my Championship debut against Luton at the end of the last campaign.
“It was a really great way to end the season on a high and as a kid coming through the academy, you’re always dreaming of making that first-team debut in the league.
“You’ve got to keep breaking new boundaries and that’s what I plan on doing this year.”
Sporting Director Andrew Nestor added: “Harry has been with the club since he was just 11 years old, and I am pleased that he will continue his journey with us, having earned his Hawthorns league debut this past May.
“We all hope that this can serve as the catalyst for him in his years ahead with the Albion, and that our other young talent can draw inspiration from Harry’s pathway.”
