Steve Bruce has confirmed defenders Kyle Bartley and Conor Townsend will miss Albion’s final game of the season against Barnsley on Saturday lunchtime (ko 12.30pm).
The boss revealed Bartley twisted his ankle in training earlier this week, while Townsend is expecting the birth of his first child.
Bruce said: “There will be no Kyle Bartley or Conor Townsend on Saturday.
“Kyle twisted his ankle in training on Wednesday and that will rule him out of the Barnsley game.
“There will be no Conor Townsend either. He’s still carrying a knock on his ankle which he picked up at Reading and his partner has gone into labour so he’ll be missing too.”
