Albion dramatically came from behind for the second time this week to beat Blackburn Rovers 3-2 on Saturday afternoon.

The Baggies quickly found themselves two-down at The Hawthorns after Andri Gudjohnsen’s 12-minute brace.

However, goals by Barney Stewart and Isaac Price, alongside a very late Felix Horn Myhre effort, secured James Morrison’s men brilliant back-to-back Sky Bet Championship comeback victories.

The away side raced into a sixth-minute lead when they won the ball high up the pitch, and Gudjohnsen smashed home from the edge of the box.

Jayson Molumby very nearly scored an immediate equaliser via a close-range attempt, which hit the post. Instead, though, it was Blackburn who netted next - Gudjohnsen grabbing his and Rovers’ second from inside the area to make it 0-2.

The chaotic start continued when Stewart squeezed his maiden competitive Albion goal past Balazs Toth, with the game still not even half way through the first period.

Both teams soon had chances to get another. Jayden Fevrier smashed a good opening over for Blackburn, while JJ Morgan nodded wide, leaving the visitors ahead at the break.

Opportunities were exchanged early in the second-half, too. Price - twice - and Rabby Nzingoula both fired narrowly off-target, and Rovers’ Gudjohnsen also wasted a header.

But the leveller did arrive on the 73-minute mark. Jayson Molumby was brought down following a great forward run – leaving Price to cheekily chip the resulting penalty past Toth.

Albion pushed for a late winner, and found it in the final stages thanks to Felix Horn Myhre. He linked up with fellow Norwegian substitute Aune Heggebø, converting in front of the Birmingham Road End and giving the Baggies all three points.
