ALBION's under-18s put in a strong performance to draw 0-0 with Arsenal in their opening Premier League Cup match at the Palm Training Ground.
Arsenal arguably had the better of the first-half, but despite dominating possession they failed to test debutant Josh Griffiths in the Baggies goal - with Morgan Rogers going close down the other end for Mike Scott's side from a couple of quick counter attacking moves.
After the break Albion had chances to claim all three points through Stanley Asomugha, Rogers and Jacob Wakeling, but in the end had to settle for a share of the spoils.
ALBION: Griffiths, Dyce (Williams 81), Hickman, Delaney, Martinez, Taylor, Ashton, Brown, Rogers, Asomugha (Wakeling 89), Soule.
Substitutes: Cann, Thorndike, Smith.
