West Bromwich Albion head to Norwich City looking for a third consecutive win on Saturday afternoon (ko 3pm).

The Baggies have recorded back-to-back 4-1 victories at The Hawthorns over the last two weekends against Aldershot Town in the third round of the Emirates FA Cup and then Blackburn Rovers in the Sky Bet Championship.

Hosts Norwich City ended a run of three league games without a win by claiming a 2-1 triumph at Hull City last Friday night. They then followed that up with victory over Bristol Rovers in their Emirates FA Cup third-round replay on Wednesday evening.

The two teams met as recently as Boxing Day back at The Hawthorns, with Carlos Corberán's men recording a 1-0 victory thanks to Brandon Thomas-Asante's second-half effort.

The opponents

The Canaries are amongst the pack chasing for the top six spots in the Sky Bet Championship this season.

After a bright start to the campaign in August, David Wagner's charges went on a run of just two victories in 11 games from September through to November, but he has since steered the club on an upward trajectory to lift the side to 11th - two points off sixth-placed Coventry City.

They have lost two of their last five in all competitions - with one of those defeats coming at The Hawthorns on Boxing Day, in which Carlos Corberán's men earned a deserved 1-0 triumph thanks to Brandon Thomas-Asante's goal.

However, recent form suggests they'll be a tough nut to crack at Carrow Road, having gone unbeaten in their last six on home soil, accruing three wins during that time.

One player Albion will need to keep a keen eye on in Norfolk is talented young winger Jonathan Rowe, who scored a delightful effort against Hull City earlier this month, and has 11 goals and two assists in the current league campaign.

Wagner does have some injury concerns to sweat over heading into the fixture against the Baggies though, with centre half Danny Batth forced off in their FA Cup win over Rovers, whilst fellow defender Dimitris Giannoulis missed the fixture with a groin issue.

One to remember

Albion earned three huge points at Carrow Road in mid-April on their way to securing the Championship title in 2007/2008.

Robert Koren opened the scoring as early as the second minute before Zoltan Gera made it 2-0 inside the final 20.

Ched Evans pulled one back from the penalty spot, but the Baggies hung on to take three points back to the West Midlands.

Albion were beaten 2-0 by Norwich City in a Sky Bet Championship match on Saturday afternoon.

Goals either side of half-time from Josh Sargent and Jonathan Rowe were the difference at Carrow Road.

Carlos Corberán’s men now have an eight-day gap until next weekend’s Emirates FA Cup clash against Wolves.

The boss made one change to his XI, bringing in Jed Wallace for Tom Fellows (illness).

Despite an encouraging start, Albion found themselves behind on the 13-minute mark - Sargent racing through and squeezing a finish past Alex Palmer, who did get a hand to it.

The goal seemed to spring the hosts into action, and they threatened again midway through the half, Palmer doing well to twice keep curling Jonathan Rowe efforts out.

Garbiel Sara found the roof of the net with a free-kick as the break closed in - and there was also time for the Baggies to have a goal disallowed, Brandon Thomas-Asante adjudged to have handballed before converting a close-range shot.

Corberán brought on Andi Weimann at the interval, and his team went close to equalising early in the second period when John Swift struck inches wide, while Wallace volleyed a difficult opportunity wide as well.

The visitors continued to push for an equaliser, but that left them open to the counter-attack - and Norwich took advantage with a lethal break 20 minutes from the end. City broke forward in numbers and Rowe was there to tap home.

Still, Albion created chances - Darnell Furlong seeing a header saved, substitute Daryl Dike firing over and, later, Weimann hitting off-target. They couldn’t find a way back, though, and David Wagner’s side came away victorious.

Albion: Palmer; Furlong (Pipa 83), Kipre, Bartley (Taylor 83), Townsend; Yokuslu (Chalobah 36), Mowatt; Wallace, Swift, Reach (Weimann 46); Thomas-Asante (Dike).

Substitutes: Griffiths, Pieters, Whitwell, Malcolm.
