The Albion Foundation, in conjunction with the West Bromwich Albion Former Players Association, is delighted to invite you to a very special ‘Pukka Night’ at The Hawthorns on Thursday 20 August 2026, featuring former Albion manager Ron Atkinson and friends.
Join us in the Richardson Suite for an evening of stories, laughter and shared memories, as one of the most influential figures in Albion’s history reflect on their remarkable journeys in football and lasting connection to the club.
Ron Atkinson remains one of the most recognisable and influential managers in Albion’s history, leading the Baggies during an exciting and memorable era in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Known for his charismatic personality and attacking style, ‘Big Ron’ helped shape some of the club’s most iconic moments before going on to enjoy a distinguished career at the very top of the game.
Friends on the night include Brendon Batson, Ally Robertson and Tony ‘Bomber’ Brown, three true Albion greats who played a key role in one of the club’s most iconic eras.
Brendon Batson, a pioneering figure in English football, made over 250 appearances for the Baggies as part of the legendary Three Degrees side and continues to champion equality, diversity and inclusion across the game. Former captain Ally Robertson was a commanding presence at the heart of Albion’s defence, making more than 600 appearances for the club and lifting the FA Cup at Wembley in 1978. Tony ‘Bomber’ Brown remains Albion’s all-time leading appearance maker and goalscorer, with a remarkable career spanning two decades and cementing his place as one of the club’s greatest ever players.
Together, Ron Atkinson and his guests will share fascinating insights, reflect on unforgettable matches and characters, and offer a unique glimpse into one of the most significant periods in Albion’s history.

The evening will begin at 7:30pm and the dress code is casual.
