Will signed a two-year deal with Albion in July 2026 and joined up with the club's Under-21 side.

Born in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, Rutter began building his footballing experience at local club Hassocks Robins between the ages of seven and ten - playing Saturday and Sunday League football prior penning terms with professional club, Brighton & Hove Albion. 

Will signed for the Seagulls at under-10 level and built up his skillset between the sticks for the south-coast outfit over eight years at the club. 

Growing up in a village called Ditchling, the goalkeeper moved a long way from home for his next step in the game at the Baggies - where he'll hope to take his career to new heights at The Hawthorns.
