Bio
Dan has been local to Albion's centre of operations since he was five-years-old.
Moving to Walsall - home of the Baggies' training base - from his place of birth in North London, Iqbal - a towering presence in the heart of midfield, moved to the Black Country in the early part of his life, which is where he stayed to build his footballing exposure.
Dan is eligible to represent Pakistan, Portugal and England through his family roots - the latter of which he has played for internationally at youth level.
Gaining an early passion for the game - supporting his home town team in the Saddlers too - Dan enjoyed developing at local outfits Cresswell Wanderers and Bloxwich, before featuring for club-affiliate side West Brom All Stars between the ages of seven and nine.
From then on, the eyes of Albion's youth staff assessed Iqbal's potential - eventually leading to him being officially signed during the U9 stage as an eight-year-old.
Iqbal continued his upward trajectory at the club throughout his early-teen years at The Hawthorns which culminated in him being rewarded for his growth as a football with a scholarship deal in July 2025.
Although a knee injury hampered a lot of Dan's first year as a scholar, the second term is always crucial and the midfielder will be hoping that's the case towards the end of the 25/26 campaign and in the proceeding 26/27 season.
