Bio

Ben is another of the club's young goalkeeping prospects.

The keeper was one of the first of Albion's second-year scholars to sign his professional deal in May 2024 - penning terms in B71 until June 2026.

Cisse broke into Richard Beale's U21s during the 2023/24 campaign while still in his scholarship phase, making close to double-figure appearances in the PL2 side and featuring for Leigh Downing's 18s team too. Impressive displays between the sticks made it a priority to keep Ben at the club, with his international future also benefitting that campaign after representing England's U19s in September 2023 before joining the U20s' post-season trip to Croatia in June 2024.

The young shot-stopper joined Albion's academy ranks when he was nine-years-old and has impressed the club's academy coaches during his time in the Black Country, having regularly played higher up throughout his Baggies career.

An Young Lions international at U16, 17, 18 and 19s level, Cisse is developing into a promising goalkeeping talent and will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Alex Palmer and Josh Griffiths in reaching the first team at Albion.

During his first term in the scholarship programme Ben featured in Sky Sports' documentary, 'David James: The One and Only', which explored diverse goalkeepers and their opportunities in the United Kingdom.
