Kevin used absences in the U21s to his advantage during his first year as an U18.

This led to the midfielder earning his first professional contract early in August 2023 - penning terms until June 2026. The 2023/24 season also saw Mfuamba named on the bench for Albion's Emirates FA Cup game against Aldershot Town in 2024, gaining him more crucial experience in a senior environment.

The box-to-box midfielder made his maiden England bow during the 2022/23 season, featuring for the Young Lions' U17s in friendlies against Germany in January.

Mfuamba came off the bench for his first taste of international football with his nation, before starting in a thumping 6-0 win over the German youngsters.

A tall, athletic central midfielder, Mfuamba likes to get the play moving and is one who looks to shift the ball forward into attacking areas.

The England youth international initially joined Albion's youth setup at the age of eight having grown up in Aston.

With several of the senior U21 players heading out on loan during the 2022/23 campaign Kevin, like team-mate Harry Whitwell, was given an opportunity at a higher age group.

The midfielder has gained starts in the Baggies' PL2 side in the first year of his scholarship - featuring in 14 PL2, PL Cup and Birmingham Senior Cup games, and Mfuamba is relishing further chances to develop his game under both Leigh Downing and Richard Beale.
