Albion Women forward Riya Mannu has been shortlisted in the Women’s Young Player category at the Asian Football Awards.
The sixth edition of the awards, which are due to take place on Tuesday, September 29, acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of British South Asians in football.
The awards shine a light on the breadth of talent across the community, from coaches and volunteers to players, administrators, and supporters, all united by a deep love for football.
Riya, who joined the Baggies on a permanent deal over the summer, has been nominated for the Women’s Young Player award alongside Sareet Binning (Leicester City), Layla Banaras (Lewes) and Safia Middleton-Patel (Manchester United & Watford).
The winner will be revealed on the AFA’s social media channels following the awards night in London on Tuesday.
