Midfielder Rhianne Rush can call on experience on both the international and domestic stage as she makes the move to Albion Women.
The 23-year-old, a Thailand international, can bring a fighting spirit to the Baggies squad and has proved that over the course of her time at her previous club, Real Bedford.
Rush began her career at local club Great Hornwood FC and spent the majority of her formative years there before switching to Milton Keynes City, and eventually being picked up by MK Dons at the age of 14.
It was there she managed to progress to first-team level, where she enjoyed a successful seven-year spell at the Dons.
Still a young player in the grand scheme of things, Rush played a huge part in consolidating Milton Keynes’ status in the FAWNL Southern Premier, the same tier as her new club Albion.
In her final season at the Dons, they managed an impressive fifth-placed finish, to which Rhianne played a crucial part, winning the club’s Players’ Player of the Season award at the end of the 2023/24 season.
She called time on her spell in Milton Keynes and opted to move slightly further north up the M1 to Rugby Borough, who were competing in the FAWNL Northern Premier in 2024.
It brought a new opportunity, and a new style of football to enjoy, but Rush’s spell on the pitch was a short-lived one, as she sadly suffered an MCL injury during their historic Adobe Women’s FA Cup fixture against WSL Liverpool.
She recovered from her absence in time to make her first appearance for the Thailand national team when they took on Iraq in June 2025, before adding another cap just a few days later against Mongolia in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers.
Her international appearances coincided with her exit from Rugby, but she soon found a new home at Real Bedford.
Rush’s only campaign saw Real Bedford finish sixth in the Southern branch of tier three, having made 24 appearances, scoring just once.
In joining the Baggies, Rhianne will hope to continue flourishing on the international stage, while maintaining her new club’s steady ascent up the FAWNL Northern Premier table.
