Albion concluded their pre-season trip to Portugal by beating Bromley 4-1 on Friday evening.
Jimmy-Jay Morgan, Aune Heggebø, Jack Bray and Barney Stewart goals helped the Baggies to victory at Estadio da Nora as their training camp ended positively, with 22 players seeing important game-time in Albufeira.
James Morrison’s men will now return home ahead of further friendlies against Shrewsbury and Peterborough.
Albion put together a well-orchestrated move to take the lead around the 15-minute mark through Morgan. The new forward curled into the top corner from just inside the area after his strike-partner Heggebø had delicately teed him up.
But Bromley hit back quickly when they were given a penalty, which Victor Adeboyejo netted to equalise midway through the first-half.
However, the Baggies were not deterred. They continued creating opportunities and did eventually re-find their advantage. This time Isaac Price’s cross found Heggebø, who squeezed his effort past Grant Smith for 2-1.
Head Coach Morrison made six half-time changes - and five more on the 62-minute mark - as his squad gained valuable minutes at the end of a challenging week.
Morgan hit the crossbar and Harry Whitwell shot off-target before they left the pitch. It was substitute Bray, though, that grabbed Albion’s third, confidently converting a Souleyman Mandey pass.
And the fantastic travelling Baggies cohort were sent away having watched their side score four thanks to Stewart’s close-range goal 10 minutes from the end.
