Remar McNeil, fresh from his two goals on Monday night, forced an early save from Tractor Boys goalkeeper Nicholas Bilokapic, who sprung low to his left to deny the winger’s effort after just three minutes.

The hosts responded with an attempt of their own moments later, Luca Fletcher latched onto Tommy Taylor’s ball across the box - only to spoon his opportunity over the crossbar.

Though the early stages would be marked by the continuation of forward Sule’s run of form, bagging his third in two matches after winning the ball high inside the Ipswich half, and dispatching a cool finish past Bilokapic.

Later on, the Albion trialist’s gloves were stung by a powerful Frankie Dunham free-kick, helping his temporary side see themselves through to half-time with their lead unscathed.
