With learning being an essential part of life and human development, teachers play an immensely valuable role in society. This is a wonderful chance to celebrate the profession on a global scale.

The day is a chance for everybody to talk about mental health and emphasise how important it is to reach out if you’re struggling. This year’s theme for World Mental Health Day 2022 is ‘Make Mental Health and Well-Being for All a Global Priority’. In a time of global instability, particularly after the pandemic, this theme gives us an opportunity to re-kindle our efforts to make the world a better place for everyone!

Football has the power to bring us together.

Clubs and communities are stronger when everyone feels welcome, and it's down to all of us to make that happen. That's why we, the Premier League, proudly stand alongside Stonewall in promoting equality and diversity.

A key focus of the partnership with Stonewall encourages LGBT+ acceptance among children and young people involved in community and education initiatives such as Premier League Primary Stars and Premier League Kicks, and within Academies

We are equipped with bespoke resources and programmes developed by the League and Stonewall, which promote positive attitudes towards the LGBT+ community.

Workshops

Anti-Racism Workshops

We are delivering anti-racism workshops in schools, which are in line with the Premier League's No Room for Racism campaign. The workshop focuses on The Three Degrees (Cyril Regis, Brandon Batson and Laurie Cunningham) who played for West Bromwich Albion and supported other black players to come through in professional football.

The children will write an anti-racism poem and illustrate it. The winners will be invited to attend West Bromwich Albion vs Luton Town, with some potential added extras on the game day.

We will be delivering a PE CPD course for teachers which is accredited and delivered by The FA. This will take place on 10th November 2022 in the West Bromwich Albion Academy dome. Lunch will be provided and those in attendance will receive two tickets to a home match.
