Albion youngsters Josh Griffiths and Callum Morton came up against each other on Saturday afternoon as their loan clubs met in Sky Bet League One.
And it was goalkeeper Griffiths who came away victorious as his Lincoln City side triumphed 2-1 at home to Morton’s Fleetwood Town at the LNER Stadium.
Danny Andrew had given the visitors the lead heading into the break, but a second-half double from Anthony Scully fired the Imps to their first league win of the season.
Both Baggies completed the full game, with the duo set for more minutes on Tuesday when Lincoln host Bolton and Fleetwood travel to Sheffield Wednesday.
