Forward Jess Collyer says she’ll do 'whatever the team needs' to help Albion Women achieve their goals in 2026/27.
The 21-year-old joins from Loughborough Lightning after three successful seasons in the East Midlands, where she also became their all-time leading appearance maker.
Having scored 27 times in Lightning colours, Collyer has pitched herself as a versatile option to improve the Baggies’ attacking line-up ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Jess has also cited positive conversations with Siobhan Hodgetts-Still (Women’s Manager) and Martyn Irvine (Interim Head Coach), along with former flatmate Ella Haughey, as prominent reasons for joining.
She said: “I’m really happy! It’s been great so far. Everyone’s been really welcoming and I’m so excited to be here.
“Speaking to both Siobhan Hodgetts-Still and Martyn Irvine, the conversations have been really positive and I’m looking forward to working with them both.
“The Albion has great ambition and I’ve felt that being here. We want to be towards the top end of this division and that’s a goal I’m really looking forward to.
“I shared a flat with Ella Haughey at university, and have played with Taylor Reynolds at Wales youth level. Otherwise, I can’t wait to meet the other girls and to get to know them.
“I’ve played a lot of football as a nine or as a false nine, and I’ve played off the wing as well. I see myself as versatile and can play all across the front line. I like to run in behind, but I’m also keen to link play as well and combine with our teammates.
“I want to score as many goals as I can and be as creative as possible. I’m keen to do whatever the team needs to help them and achieve our goals this season.
“I can’t wait to meet all of the Albion supporters and to get started.”
