James Morrison has urged his players to continue playing at a high level as they try and inflict a first league defeat of the season on Charlton Athletic.
The Addicks visit The Hawthorns this Wednesday night (ko 7.45pm) and go into the clash with a 100 per cent record in the league having won all three Sky Bet Championship games so far.
Albion’s head coach is expecting a “tough” test from Nathan Jones’ side, but insists the Baggies can come out victorious if they perform to the standards they set during their last home outing - the 3-1 win over Burnley.
"We've got a tag on our backs at the moment that we're a tough team to play because of how we've started the season,” said Morrison. “It's up to the lads to maintain that standard we've set.
"You saw the atmosphere and the passion against Burnley, so teams will be coming with a reservation against us.
"They've (Charlton) got an experienced manager who has managed at a high level and has managed some big clubs.
"He has a way he likes to play and his squads are full of energy. They've found ways to win every match this season, so it's going to be a tough game.
"Obviously, Karlan Grant will be coming back as well. He was a great servant to the club and I hope he gets a good reception.”
And Morrison also had the opportunity to talk about Toby Collyer for the first time, following his permanent move from Manchester United.
"I've always said I want people who want to be here and Toby was that,” added the boss. “He had other clubs after him, but we've beaten the competition.
"He's exactly what I like in a midfield player and I think he can grow into a Premier League player.
"I was speaking to him the whole time after he left us because I like him as a person, I care about him and I can see his potential. I kept in touch when he was at Hull, had a chat when he came back here with them, so I think he just needs a chance to succeed.
"I know where we are as a club and what we want - we're just having to do things a little differently than the so-called bigger teams in the division, but I'm very happy with the business we've done so far."
