Albion are delighted to confirm the appointment of Dominic Price as the club’s new Technical Director.

The Englishman will join the Baggies following a three-year tenure in the same role at reigning Israeli Premier League champions Maccabi Tel-Aviv.

Price, who started work at The Hawthorns earlier this week, will oversee the club’s academy, analysis, medical and sports science departments, while further developing strategies for squad planning, player pathways, football technology and football administration.

Released as a player by Liverpool at the age of 16, Price studied at John Moores University, later practising law for several years before resuming his career in football.

He returned to the Reds as an academy coach – co-managing youth level age groups while gaining a UEFA A licence with the Football Association.

In 2020 he was named Head of Performance Analysis at Blackpool – working closely with Head Coach Neil Critchley during his promotion-winning spell with the Tangerines.

After two years at Bloomfield Road, he returned to Anfield as First-Team Analyst under Jurgen Klopp, before taking on the role of Technical Director with Maccabi Tel-Aviv in 2023.

On joining the Baggies, Price said: “I am delighted to be here, and I am grateful to Shilen Patel and the club’s board for placing their trust in me.

“Together, we will focus on building strong foundations, driving standards, and supporting the continued development and progression of the club.

“This club is steeped in history and tradition and with that heritage comes significant responsibility, which is certainly not lost on me. I fully understand the importance of this role and will carry it out with the long-term interests and success of the club as my absolute priority.”

Albion Chairman Shilen Patel added: “I am pleased to welcome Dom to the club. I look forward to him contributing his perspective, practices, and enthusiasm to our efforts to continually improve.

“This is an important appointment for the football club and one I am confident will strengthen us both on and off the pitch in the years to come.”
