Caleb Taylor’s Wycombe Wanderers side were beaten in the Sky Bet League One play-off semi-final by Charlton Athletic on Thursday night.
The Addicks won 1-0 at the Valley in the return fixture after the two teams had played out a goalless draw in the first leg on Sunday.
Experienced striker Matty Godden scored the game’s only goal inside the final ten minutes at The Valley.
Taylor completed 90 minutes in both encounters, taking his tally of appearances in all competitions in 2024/25 for Wycombe up to 39.
Charlton will take on Leyton Orient at Wembley later in May for a place in the Sky Bet Championship.
