Coventry City Kick it Out fixture dedicated to Cyrille Regis

Cyrille Regis celebrates scoring a goal

Albion will celebrate the life and legacy of Cyrille Regis when Coventry City visit The Hawthorns in the Sky Bet Championship on Friday, February 3 (ko 8pm).

The fixture between two sides for which Cyrille made more than 500 appearances will also serve as Albion’s annual Kick it Out game, with players wearing the anti-discrimination campaign group’s T-shirts during the pre-match warm-up.

The Cyrille Regis Legacy Trust – the club’s official charity partner for the 2022/23 season – will also be in attendance as the Baggies highlight the important role Cyrille played in advancing the cause of race relations both in football and wider society.

Supporters attending the game are invited to wear the club’s 2022/23 yellow-and-green away kit, which is dedicated to the Cyrille Regis Legacy Trust and features Cyrille’s favourite quotes. A donation for each away shirt sold will be made to the charity and the kit remains on sale, here.

There will be a special Regis-themed Albion News chronicling the former England international’s career, with the official matchday programme also profiling the work of the Cyrille Regis Legacy Trust with the community arms of all Midlands clubs.

Carlos Corberán’s men continue to “take the knee” prior to all competitive fixtures with an image of Cyrille, Brendon Batson and Laurie Cunningham, popularly known as The Three Degrees, accompanying them on the big screens at The Hawthorns as they do so.

Stay tuned to the club’s official social media channels and website in the lead up to the game as Albion feature a wide range of content celebrating the great man’s career and the lasting impact of the Cyrille Regis Legacy Trust.
