Clash of the Legends.

The Hawthorns will host ‘Clash of the Legends: Home Nations vs Rest of the World’ as part of its 125th-year anniversary celebrations on Saturday, September 6 (1pm KO).

The milestone will be celebrated when a group of Baggies legends return, with all proceeds going to The Albion Foundation, the club’s charity partner.

Some of the iconic players reuniting include Chris Brunt, James Morrison, Claudio Yacob, Jonas Olsson, Paul Scharner, and more.

The teams:

Home Nations: Adamson, J.Chambers, Jones, McAuley, Barnett, Morrison, Brunt, Quashie, Dyer, Livermore, Carter, Downing, Albrighton, Earnshaw, Phillips, Hunt.

Rest of the World: Kuszczak, Abella, Olsson, Pelé, Albrechtsen, Scharner, Koren, Teixeira, Yacob, Mulumbu, Gera, Bednář, Long, Roberts, Cox.

The managers:

Legend Ally Robertson will manage the Home Nations cohort of English, Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish players when they line-up at the Shrine.

Fundraising-extraordinaire ‘Blind’ Dave Heeley helped The Albion Foundation collect £130,000 during 2024/25, the reward for his efforts? Taking charge of the Rest of the World team at The Hawthorns.

Key timings:

Gates will open to supporters at 11:00am, where fans will have the opportunity to meet the players and have autographs signed until 12:00pm in the East Stand concourse.

A DJ will keep supporters entertained throughout the player signing session, until 12:05pm where legends ‘Super’ Bob Taylor and Robertson will take the microphone for a pitch side Q&A about the day.

Football freestyler Rebaz Freestyle will show off his skills at 12:15pm alongside some young Baggies, before a dhol drummer group take to the floor at 12:25pm to build the atmosphere inside the Shrine.

Rest of the World Manager and Foundation fundraising-extraordinaire Heeley will be pitchside to talk fans through his team selection at 12:30pm, before supporters learn more about the Foundation’s Hawthorns Hub and Memories Group during a live Q&A with participants and session lead Gurdial Singh at 12:45pm.

The dhol drummer group will return for a final performance at 12:55pm, prior to the game’s kick-off at 1:00pm.

At half-time, supporters are encouraged to stay in their seats as Foundation participants from boys, girls and disability teams will play in three separate mini games.

Ticket information:

Tickets for the game are priced at £12.50 for adults (17+), and £5 for children (16 and under).

The Home Nations team will wear Albion’s 2025/26 Macron home shirt, while the Rest of the World will wear the 2025/26 yellow & green away shirt.
