Foundation Day 2023 is just around the corner and the theme for this year’s event is ‘Football for All’, recognising the many different footballing pathways regardless of ability at The Albion Foundation. We’re encouraging all fans to ‘Bring a Pound to the Ground’ for Albion’s clash with Huddersfield as we look to raise important funds to allow football to be accessible for all.
In the build-up to the event, we’ll be highlighting a different level of the pathway each day, showcasing the positive impact The Albion Foundation has on its local community.
To kick things off, we’re starting right at the beginning with our Mini & Junior Baggies Sessions and our Pre-Academy, where we provide football sessions for children ranging from Nursery age to Year 4 pupils.
Early years children can expect to take part in fun and engaging activities to start their football journey off and develop an early love of the sport, before transitioning into more structured coaching sessions as they get older.
Our Mini & Junior Baggies sessions provide players with an introduction to football for all levels of ability, with creating a positive learning environment, enabling learning through play.
Albion Foundation coaches support participants to develop physical fundamentals and basic football skills, with all sessions delivered by FA & UEFA qualified staff.
Mini & Junior Baggies sessions are held at WBA Community Sports Hall on Tuesday mornings and Tipton Sports Academy on Friday mornings.
As for the Pre-Academy programme, sessions take place at Oak Park on Tuesday evenings, Redhill on Thursday evenings and WBA Community Sports Hall on Friday evenings.
