Albion Women were beaten in extra-time by Liverpool Feds in the FAWNL Cup Preliminary Round on Sunday.
Head Coach Jenny Sugarman made five changes to the team that lost away at Huddersfield as Kate Evans, Izzy Green, Leanne Robinson and Mariam Mahmood all came in alongside debutant goalkeeper Mackenzie Haydn-Jones.
Liverpool earned a first-half lead through Paige Cole’s rebound at Keys Park before Jannelle Straker dramatically equalised late into the second period for the Baggies, ensuring the contest needed another 30 minutes.
But it was the visitors who pushed on during extra time and won the game via strikes from Rosie Kinvig, Jen Rogers and another two Cole goals.
