The opposition
Derby County are no strangers to The Hawthorns having won on penalties there in August in the Carabao Cup.
The Rams have a decent recent record at the home of the Baggies having lost just one of their last six trips, and they'll be determined to extend that to seven on Saturday.
They're sat on two points from four matches in the Sky Bet Championship. Derby lost their first two against Stoke City and Coventry City, but have since drawn 1-1 at home to Bristol City and 2-2 at Ipswich Town.
The 2024/25 term was a nervy one for this weekend's guests and they only just avoided relegation back to Sky Bet League One. This time around, the Rams will be hoping for a much more comfortable campaign and will have their sights set on finishing much higher than the 19th position they secured in the previous year.
John Eustace is the man in charge and has been since the middle of February. The former Kidderminster Harriers, QPR, Birmingham City and Blackburn Rovers boss had a lengthy playing career before switching to management, representing the likes of Coventry, Stoke, Watford and Derby. His managerial record at County reads played 20, won six, drawn six and lost eight.

Memorable meeting
Albion claimed three big points against Derby County at The Hawthorns on their way to winning automatic promotion to the Premier League in 2019/20.
A first-half effort from Grady Diangana was followed up by Dara O'Shea's header in the second 45.

Recent record on home soil against the Rams
Albion 1-1 (p) Derby County, August 2025
Derby County defeated the Baggies on penalties a month ago at The Hawthorns in the opening round of the Carabao Cup. The Baggies went ahead in the second period when Aune Heggebø slotted in his first goal for the club, but the Rams equalised with virtually the last kick - Joe Ward firing a free-kick into the top corner from a tight angle. Ryan Mason's men sadly missed three of their five spot-kicks and the visitors made it through to round two. Watch Aune's goal from that night below.
Albion 1-3 Derby County, April 2025
The Rams claimed a huge win at The Hawthorns on their way to securing Sky Bet Championship safety towards the end of last season. Goals from Ebou Adams and Jerry Yates had the visitors in control at the break, but Adam Armstrong halved the deficit with a neat finish with 20 to go. Derby weren't to be deterred though and substitute Nathanial Mendez-Laing wrapped up the points late on.
Albion 0-0 Derby County, September 2021
The two teams played out a goalless draw in the Sky Bet Championship in September 2021. Both had opportunities to score what would've been a decisive goal, but it turned out to a be night where defences came out on top.
How's that for a stat
Saturday's clash will be the third time Albion will have played Derby County in their last nine games in all competitions.
Derby have lost just one of their last 11 matches against the Baggies in both league and cup.
Albion have the chance to be sat on 13 points from the first 15 on offer for the second consecutive season.
Derby boss John Eustace will be hoping to secure a first win over Albion as a manager. He's lost five of his six games against the Baggies, drawing the other.
The Rams have played four away games in all competitions so far in 2025/26. A total of 13 goals have been scored in those matches. Both teams have scored in all six of their games this term.
