Albion Under-21s have found out their National League Cup opponents for the upcoming 2026/27 term.
The competition will feature 32 sides, comprising of 16 Premier League 2 outfits and 16 National League teams. The tournament is set to commence in August, with the final scheduled for March.
Groups have been drawn with eight clubs (four PL2, four NL), who will all play four fixtures while the top two teams from each pool earn passage through to the knockout rounds.
U21 teams will only face non-league opposition in the competition and matches, should a result not be settled by the end of 90 minutes, will go straight to a penalty shootout.
Leigh Downing’s young charges have been drawn in Group D alongside National League sides Boston United, Sutton United, Truro City and Woking, as well as PL2 teams Birmingham City, Leicester City and Southampton.
Their first outing will be away at the Cardinals on Tuesday, August 18 (ko 7pm).
