Albion finished the 2024/25 Sky Bet Championship campaign by beating Luton Town 5-3 in an entertaining clash on Saturday afternoon.

Doubles from Tom Fellows and Callum Styles - alongside a wonderful Daryl Dike moment - helped the hosts claim three points.

The result meant the Baggies ended up ninth, while the Hatters, who netted via Millenic Alli (2) and Jordan Clark, were relegated.

Interim Head Coach James Morrison made one switch to his XI, handing Dike a first league start in more than two years.

His team started brightly, scoring early through Fellows - who snuck one past Thomas Kaminski after his initial cross had been blocked.

Town responded immediately and found an equaliser as Alli finished well just 60 seconds later.

But the moment of the day soon came around the half-hour mark when Dike rose highest to nod home and delight the crowd.

The American striker quickly set-up Fellows for Albion’s third - putting them in a commanding position at the break.

And they added to their advantage with 57 minutes played. Darnell Furlong sent in a wicked cross, which Styles confidently converted inside the area.

Styles then notched his second - and Albion’s fifth - almost instantly, arguably grabbing the most eye-catching goal thanks to a long-distance effort.

Academy graduate Harry Whitwell was introduced for his maiden Championship appearance during the final stages, while Semi Ajayi, Grady Diangana and Adam Armstrong also came on.

Alli’s late second grabbed Luton another, though didn’t change the outcome, leaving Albion to round-off the season in style.
