Semi Ajayi played the full 90 minutes for Nigeria on Thursday afternoon as they recorded a 2-1 win over Sierra Leone in their opening AFCON 2023 qualifier.
The Baggies defender saw his side fall behind earlier on in Abuja when Jonathan Morsay put the visitors ahead, however the Super Eagles turned the game around before half-time thanks to strikes from Alex Iwobi and Victor Osimhen.
Ajayi and Nigeria will now prepare for their fourth and final international fixture of the summer – a trip to Mauritius on Monday in their second AFCON 2023 qualifier.
