Albion Women’s 11 opponents for the 2026/27 FAWNL Northern Premier season have now been confirmed.
Promoted from FAWNL Division One
Joining the Baggies in tier three will be Norwich City, Huddersfield Town, Boldmere St Michaels and Peterborough United.
The Terriers were promoted after an impressive season, where they managed to pip second-placed Cheadle Town Stingers to the title after beating York City 5-0 in their penultimate league fixture. The last time they competed in tier three was back in 2023/24, when Albion managed to beat them twice across the league campaign.
Peterborough United went unbeaten throughout the whole of 2025/26 to claim the FAWNL Division One Midlands title. Posh claimed 62 points from 22 fixtures and finished eight points clear of any other team - they will compete in tier three for the first time.
Boldmere St Michaels were play-off winners after beating Cheadle Town Stingers at the Pirelli Stadium in May. Karl Henry’s side pipped Leafield Athletic to the promotion showdown on final day and last competed at this level in 2022/23.
Meanwhile, Norwich City have also been designated a spot in the FAWNL Northern Premier, having won the other play-off fixture against Moneyfields in a penalty shootout after a 2-2 draw between the two teams.
