Albion’s 23 opponents for the 2025/26 Sky Bet Championship campaign have now been confirmed.

Promoted from Sky Bet League One

Joining the Baggies in the second tier having won promotion from Sky Bet League One are Wrexham, Birmingham City and Charlton Athletic.

Albion and Wrexham will go head-to-head in the league for the very first time next term. The only previous meeting with the side from Wales was in the FA Cup way back in 1930.

The Red Dragons haven't competed in the second tier of English football since 1981/82.

Midlands rivals Birmingham City are back in the Championship after spending 2024/25 in the division below. The last time the Baggies and the Blues went to battle in the same league was in 2023/24.

Charlton Athletic defeated Leyton Orient 1-0 in the Sky Bet League One play-off final at Wembley on Sunday afternoon to seal a return to the Championship following a five-year stint in the third tier.

The Baggies last faced the Addicks in 2019/20 when both league matches ended 2-2.

Relegated from the Premier League

All three sides promoted to the Premier League from the Sky Bet Championship at the end of the 2023/24 season were relegated from the top flight last term.

Albion will be coming up against Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town in 2025/26 after the trio were unable to retain their top-flight status.
